Zack Newton is a Senior Director at Wittington Investments, where he leads the firm’s Made in Canada strategy, which seeks to make equity or debt investments in companies or projects that improve Canadian food resiliency.  In addition to his work within Made in Canada, Zack supports investment activities across the broader Wittington platform by overseeing several diversified portfolios and direct investments, including as Board Observer at League.

Zack is particularly interested in finding opportunities at the intersection of investing, innovation and impact and has served on several boards of directors, including leading Canadian innovators Carbon Engineering and ecobee.  Prior to Wittington, Zack held roles at organizations including Thomvest and Torys.

He received a J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. (Honors) from Cornell University. Zack has been actively involved with several community organizations, including as Vice Chair of Canada’s National Ballet School and as past Co-Chair of the Art Gallery of Ontario’s AGO Next program.

Outside of Wittington and his community work, Zack is usually spending time with his two young kids, hopefully either backcountry camping or at a Blue Jays game.
